PANAJI: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) HSSC exam has commenced today across 20 centres in the state.
As per an official release, the examination began at 9.30 am for all streams, including Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational.
Examinations will be held from February 10 to March 1 across 20 examination centres.
A total 17,751 students that include 9,253 girls and 8,498 boys are fresh candidates for the academic year 2024-25.
There are 864 regular repeater candidates while eight are isolated candidates and another 16 candidates are those who seek improvement in the marksheet and 49 are answering for part improvement.
As per the time table for HSSC, the examination today commenced with English paper from while economics is scheduled on February 12, banking on February 13, Marathi on February 14 and Hindi on February 15.
While Sociology is scheduled on February 17, Physics, Accountancy and history is scheduled on February 18, Chemistry and Business Studies on February 21 Psychology on February 22, Mathematics on February 24, Konkani on February 25, Biology on February 27 and Geography on February 28.
For the vocation stream, the examination will commence from February 11 with an English Communication skill paper.
