PORVORIM: The Goa Cabinet today has approved a series of key decisions, including the Goa State Logistics & Warehousing Incentive Scheme 2025, aimed at boosting investment in the sector.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the scheme will provide incentives in the form of capital subsidy, loan interest subsidy, and other benefits to encourage logistics and warehousing activities in the state.
“The Logistics and Warehousing sector is critical for Goa’s growth, and this incentive scheme will help generate employment as well as improve supply chain efficiency,” the Chief Minister said after the Cabinet meeting.
The Cabinet also decided to rope in The Energy & Resource Institute (TERI) to advise the state government on the management and handling of iron ore dumps.
“TERI’s expertise will be valuable in addressing long-pending environmental and mining-related issues,” Sawant noted.
In another major announcement, the Chief Minister confirmed that the Goa Street Circuit in Mormugao has been finalized as the venue for Round 4 of the 2025 Indian Racing Festival.
“This will be a prestigious motorsport event for Goa, and we expect it to attract a large number of tourists while boosting the state’s profile as a sporting destination,” Sawant added.
