PATNA: Goa Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Sawant exuded confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) victory ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, asserting that the ongoing development across the state was a result of NDA’s governance.
“The way development is happening here, only the NDA has done this. So, once more, an NDA government will be formed here,” Sawant said while addressing party workers.
Criticizing the opposition alliance, he took a dig at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for fielding Osama Shahab, son of former MP Shahabuddin, from Raghunathpur constituency. “The NDA gives tickets to party workers, youth, and ordinary people. However, in Mahagathbandhan, only their contractors will get tickets,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Yogi Adityanath launched an attack on the RJD-Congress alliance during rallies in Danapur and Phulwari Sharif. He alleged that under RJD-Congress rule between 1990 and 2005, “the land of knowledge became a hub of crime and dynasty politics,” forcing Biharis to migrate in search of livelihood.
Yogi highlighted that the NDA governments at the Centre and in Bihar have transformed the state with improved infrastructure and law and order. “No one can now obstruct development or treat crime as a birthright,” he said, adding that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the NDA has promoted inclusive growth, unlike the “family-first politics” of the Congress-RJD.
Both Chief Ministers underlined that the NDA’s governance model was rooted in accountability, youth empowerment, and welfare-driven development — contrasting it with the corruption and chaos of previous regimes.
