PANAJI: In a move aimed at strengthening housing support for economically weaker sections, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a key meeting to review the implementation of the Atal Asra Scheme.
The meeting was attended by Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai and senior officials from the department.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring timely support to eligible beneficiaries.
Several crucial decisions were taken to enhance the scheme’s effectiveness.
Among the major outcomes of the meeting was the decision to simplify the application process, making it more user-friendly and transparent.
Officials have been directed to expedite approvals for long-pending applications, ensuring that genuine cases are resolved without further delay.
Additionally, it was announced that Atal Asra Yojana Camps will be organized in every constituency across the state.
These camps aim to raise awareness, assist citizens with applications, and facilitate on-the-spot resolution of issues related to the scheme.
