PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today held a review meeting with Directorate of Mines and Geology officials to discuss resumption of auctioned mines.
Sawant held review meeting with the officials from Department of Mines regarding the grievances and issues faced.
HODs from other related departments like Dept of Environment, WRD, GSPCB also attended the meeting.
“Discussion was held regarding resumption of Auctioned Mines, New Auctions, resumption and regulation of Sand Mining and other minor minerals,” said Sawant
Directorate of Mines and Geology (DMG) had recently issued tender for e-auction of three more iron ore mineral blocks-Onda, Cuprem-Sulcorna and Codli.
Last date for purchase of tender document after payment of a tender fee on website of e-auction platform provider is September 24, 2024 and the last date for submission of the bid is October 4, 2024 on or before 5 pm.
So far nine blocks have been auctioned – Cudnem-Cormolem mineral block, Surla Sonshi mineral block, Advalpale-Tivim mineral block, Cudnem mineral block, Tivim-Pirna mineral block, Kalay mining block in Sanguem, Bicholim-Mulgao mining block, Shirigao-Mayem mining block and Monte-de-Sirigao mining block.
