CANACONA: In his first public address since the enforcement of the Code of Conduct came into effect after the declaration of Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant hits out at Congress for not doing anything for Goa and challenged Rahul Gandhi to show any Projects/Developments and Schemes brought by congress for Goa and Goans from 2004 to 2014.
“All the developments and schemes in Goa are done and brought by BJP for Goa and the Goan only in NDA tenures, by double engine BJP Sarkar in Centre and the State. I challenge Rahul Gandhi, or even his Francis Sardhina or his Yuri Alemao to provide me and give details to the people of Goa what are the projects and developments they had brought to Goa and the Scheme congress brought for the Goans during the period (2004-2014) of their governance”.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant was speaking at the Vikshit Bharat, Modi Ki Guarantee (Sankalp Patra Abhiyaan) public meeting at Chaudi on Saturday evening.
CM Dr Pramod Sawant said Modi had given 35000 crores in development to Goa, and that’s why we (people) say ‘Dhanyawad Modi’.
Sawant asked whether ‘in last 5 years MP (South) Franscisco Sardhina had even once visited you people? Some People even don’t know who is South Goa MP, and when I asked, some still thought Narendra Sawaikar was the MP, and I had to tell them he was the previous MP not now! Modi did a lot for the women of this nation in Mahila Shakti like Toilets, Har Ghar Nal, Electricity for each House, and LPG cylinder gas to each household this is all by Modi. Skilling, Kisan Shakti Nidhi and Garib Kalyan. All these are Modi’s Guarantee,” he stated.
“I Challenge Rahul Gandhi or even Francis Sardhina or Yuri Alemao to inform which scheme you (Congress) had brought for the people of Goa from 2004 to 2014. CM ended his speech with Slogans ‘Fir ek Bar Modi Sarkar, Abki bar 400 par,’ he said.
Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar said ‘Narendra Modi wants to achieve the dream of strongest nation in the world. If and when the last man in this country is taken care of, there won’t be anyone left poor and there won’t be any need to tell the voters to vote for BJP. 160 schemes for the people, 300 CR development in Canacona alone in the next few years for Samrudhr Canacona.We are submitting a ‘Dairy project’ to the Chief Minister shortly.
“A person who is not capable of being even a panch is speaking against Modi and Amit Shah, what do such type of people want to do for the people?.’ Tawadkar stated he gives a guarantee to give over 10000 leads from Canacona in Lok Sabha elections to the BJP,” he said.
Tawadkar later launched the Punyadhan scheme and provided unannounced financial assistance to some needy women at the hands of the Chief Minister.
Digamber Kamat said, ‘When women are charged for any single party, no one can do much about it as all others will definitely vote for BJP. Women should volunteer to bring voters to the booths to vote on voting day. Don’t send youths to pick up voters people will give excuses, but if women approach everyone will come out easily and vote for the BJP. BJP will win the South Goa seat by over 60,000 votes’.
Minister Subhash Phal Dessai said “Irrespective of who will be BJP candidate people want to vote for Modi and BJP. Congresswalas are instead waiting for 15 lakhs from Modi. A New Medical College in Goa is planned to make more doctors from Goa.”
NRI commissioner Narendra Savoikar, Ex-Dy.CM Babu Kavlekar, BJP General Secretary Damu Naik, and CMC Chairperson Ramakant Naikgaunkar were present.
