PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a “cowardly and inhuman act.”
As a mark of respect for the victims, Dr. Sawant announced the cancellation of all programs related to his birthday celebrations that were scheduled to take place in the state.
The Chief Minister also confirmed that 26 tourists from Goa are currently stranded in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The government is in constant touch with them, and we are taking all necessary steps to ensure their safety and to facilitate their return,” he said.
Dr. Sawant assured that the state government is coordinating with the relevant authorities and monitoring the situation closely.
