FATORDA: Chief Minister has announced a series of measures to address illegal parking and improve public transport infrastructure across the state.
“Many vehicles are parked along roadsides, especially after road widening. Any vehicle found parked for more than 8 days will be issued a notice and dumped in the government scrapyard. Owners will not be allowed to make any claims,” the CM warned.
He also directed authorities to remove all unauthorized roadside garages, adding that strict action will be taken in areas like Margao if parking and garage norms are not followed.
To enhance connectivity in rural areas, the CM further announced that the government will deploy buses on village and internal roads to boost public transport. He urged citizens to cooperate and follow traffic rules to ensure safety and smoother commuting.
