New Delhi: Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Thursday met Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, in New Delhi to discuss a range of environment and forest-related issues concerning the state.
Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Ramesh Tawadkar was also present during the meeting.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Dr. Sawant raised several key matters related to environmental clearances, forest management, and other pressing concerns. He expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for his intervention and the prompt resolution of most of the issues flagged by the state.
Dr. Sawant said the Centre’s cooperation was crucial for balancing development needs with environmental protection in Goa.
