PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has conveyed his warm wishes to Goans on the Feast of St Francis Xavier, a celebration observed with deep reverence across the State.
In his message, the Chief Minister said the annual feast is cherished not only in Goa but also by devotees worldwide. Extending a “happy feast” to those in Goa and the Goan community living elsewhere, he said the event reflects Goa’s spirit of harmony as thousands come together in prayer.
Dr Sawant noted that the novenas held in the days leading to the feast play an important role in spiritually preparing the faithful. He added that the celebration also becomes a homecoming for many Goans living abroad, who return to be part of the festivities with their families.
He further greeted pilgrims who undertake the traditional walk to Old Goa, wishing that the feast brings renewed optimism, happiness, and blessings to every family in the State.
