PORVORIM: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday flagged off vehicles carrying relief material to Punjab and Chhattisgarh, in addition to the ₹5 crore financial aid announced earlier from the CM’s Relief Fund.
Sawant said the recent natural calamities have severely affected lakhs of families and livelihoods in the two states.
“While authorities continue their tireless efforts on the ground, we stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in Punjab and Chhattisgarh. Our humble efforts are meant to share their pain and their courage as they rebuild their lives,” the CM stated.
