PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a series of pre-Budget consultation meetings ahead of the Goa State Budget 2026-27, engaging with a broad cross-section of stakeholders, trade bodies and industry representatives to seek suggestions for the upcoming financial year.
The consultations witnessed participation from representatives of the Solar Association, Barge Owners Association, CA and CS Associations, Goa Union of Journalists, Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), LUB, Verna Industries Association, GSIA, BNI, Goa Pharma Association, GTA and ASSOCHAM. Members of TTAG, Liquor, Restaurant, Cashew and Event Management Associations, along with CREDAI, Petrol Pump and Mining Associations, also took part in the discussions.
During the interactive sessions, stakeholders offered valuable inputs aimed at strengthening ease of doing business, boosting tourism, supporting MSMEs, promoting green energy initiatives and creating employment opportunities across sectors.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the consultations play a crucial role in shaping a comprehensive and inclusive Budget. He stated that the Government remains committed to presenting a participative, growth-oriented and people-centric Budget that accelerates Goa’s economic development while ensuring balanced and inclusive progress.
Officials said the suggestions received from various sectors will be examined and considered while finalising the State Budget 2026-27.
