DELHI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today met and interacted with Union Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and dicussed state’s progress of implementation of new criminal laws.
CM’s sudden Delhi visit had sparked rumours of a possible cabinet reshuffle ahead of Goa Assembly session.
“Briefed the HM on key issues, including the State’s progress in implementing the new criminal laws, developments in the mining sector,” said Sawant
He further said that he has sought his guidance on furthering administrative and developmental initiatives.
BJP State President Damu Naik recently gave the party’s National General Secretary B.L. Santosh a report on the performance of ministers and MLAs when he was in Goa, which fueled more rumors. The notion that a Cabinet reshuffle is impending has gained support as a result of this development.
The precise date of the move is still unknown, despite the fact that party insiders have long alluded to a likely reorganization of Sawant’s team and the Chief Minister has recognized the likelihood several times in recent months.
