CANACONA: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant reached out to the supporters of ex.Dy. Speaker Isidore Fernandes and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar in two separate meetings held along with the South-Goa BJP Candidate Pallavi Dempo and both the bête-noire separately.
Every vote cast to BJP’s Pallavi Dempo, will be the vote to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister for the third time in a row and the credit for these votes will go to the people of Canacona and none else, Dr. Sawant informed the strong crowd of over 700 people assembled at Nature Harmoney to show solidarity to Ex-Dy. Speaker Isidore Fernandes, amidst Isidore’s supporters’ belief that credit for the votes polled for BJP in Canacona will be taken by Speaker Tawadkar. There is a strong feeling amongst the BJP supporters especially previous block leaders who are now staunch supporters and followers of Fernandes, that Tawadkar has sabotaged the BJP canvassing in Canacona.
Interestingly, several estranged BJP leaders including Shobhana Velip (ZP-Poinguinim), Sarpanch of Gaondongrim Dhillon (Yeshwant) Desai, Councillor Shubham Komarpant, Former Sarpanch of Shristhal Panchayat Devendra Naik, former president of BJP (Canacona Mandal) Nandip Bhagat, former Block Treasurer Suraj Komarpant, former Yuva Adhyaksh (BJP block) Satish Gosavi, and hundreds of former BJP Karyakarta’s who are no staunch supporters of Isidore Fernandes who have contested last assembly elections, as Independent candidate against BJP’s Ramesh Tawadkar.
CM Dr. Sawant in his speech said, that in these 10 years, there has been so much development from Pednem to Canacona that what was not possible for the Congress government in 50 years, the Modi government has done it in just 10 years. By voting for South Goa’s Lok Sabha candidate Pallavi Dhempo, that vote will be given to Narendra Modi and make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time, making Pallavi Dhempo win by a huge margin.
The credit for every vote you cast will be given to Canconcars instead of to different leaders.
Speaking further, ‘A lot of people do not know the meaning of secular. Saturation is equal to Secularism. BJP government has introduced several schemes which are for everyone irrespective of any particular community and religion, 1 lakh 35 thousand housewives in Goa are benefiting from the Griha Aadhaar scheme, all the poor get free rice on the ration card. When Narendra Modi will be PM for the third time. Henceforth the same rice will be delivered at home. Congress is doing politics in the name of caste, and religion whereas BJP is doing development and BJP politics is to make every person live in dignity.
Secularism is only in BJP ’ and congratulated Isidore Fernandes stating despite Fernandes being away from politics following the loss of his Son in Portugal, he has shown the huge following he had by gathering such a large number of his supporters in just one day’s notice.’, Dr. Sawant said before heading to address another public meeting at Amone (Poinguinim) in the presence of Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar.
Speaking to the media, Dr Sawant reiterated that BJP is going to get more than 10,000 votes lead in Canacona alone, the figure constantly reiterated by Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar.
Speaking on the occasion, candidate Pallavi Dempo said that Isidore and the Dempo family have had family relations for the last 35 years, and spoke on the developmental works done by the Dempo family in social, educational and sports activities, and stated that every vote for BJP will be the vote for Narendra Modi.
Speaking on this occasion, Fernandes visibly satisfied at the turnout at the shortest notice, said there are many problems bugging Canacona people, but this is not the time to talk about those problems and instead he will continue to raise the same with the Chief minister while demanding that Chief Minister Dr Sawant should ensure at least a minimum of 300 jobs to Canacona youths, while announcing his and all his supporter’s full support for the candidature of Pallavi Dempo, and get her elected with a huge margin, no matter who is taking the credit for the votes polled by BJP in Canacona.
