MAPUSA: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant convened a high-level meeting at the Mapusa Municipal Council to discuss ongoing development projects and administrative matters.
The meeting was attended by MLA and Deputy Speaker Joshua De Souza, Council Chairperson Priya Mishal, councilors, North Goa Collector Ankit Yadav, Chief Officer, PCE officials, and other dignitaries.
The agenda focused on reviewing critical pre-monsoon preparations, including electricity and water supply works aimed at ensuring uninterrupted services during the season.
Participants also deliberated on key civic issues such as garbage management, public awareness about waste treatment, functioning of sewerage treatment plants, and strategies to improve levy and collection of rent, taxes, and fees.
Road infrastructure improvements were also discussed, with emphasis on betterment plans to enhance connectivity and safety in the area.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Dr. Sawant emphasized continuous support to local governing bodies to strengthen their administrative capacity and deliver effective public services.
