PORVORIM: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a Finance Review Meeting with the Chief Secretary and senior officials of the Finance Department, Government of Goa, at Mantralaya, Porvorim, to assess the State’s financial performance and expedite key developmental works.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the status of revenue collection, sanctioned expenditure, pending payments of various departments and corporations, the progress of NABARD-funded projects, and ongoing works under SASCI and CM Pragati initiatives.
Dr. Sawant also reviewed the summary of Centrally Sponsored and Central Sector Schemes (CS & CSS) for the financial year 2025–26.
Emphasising the need for efficient fiscal management, the Chief Minister directed departments to ensure timely completion of priority projects and to maintain financial discipline. He instructed officials to prepare constituency-wise expenditure charts to strengthen transparency and monitoring mechanisms.
“Our focus is on effective financial governance and timely delivery of public services. Departments must work in coordination to ensure every rupee spent reflects in on-ground development,” said Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to fiscal prudence, accountability, and result-oriented administration aimed at driving Goa’s overall development.
