VASCO: CM Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday attended the First Foundation Day Celebrations of the Indian International University of Legal Education & Research (IIULER) at Sancoale, Goa.
Speaking to the media later, Sawant said that the IIULER would offer a great contribution to the legal fraternity of Goa.
“This is the beginning of the 75th year of Independence and is known as Amrit Kaal, considered the best and most auspicious time to start any work. IIULER is celebrating its 1st anniversary, and it was always a privilege to start the first such University in the state because our Government always gives top priority to education. We will try to make Goa an educational hub, and as far as IIULER is concerned, the campus at Dharbandoda will be completed at the earliest, after which this University will be shifted there, and students will be able to use the infrastructure. The National education policy will help us raise our education standards to par with international standards while offering quality education to all and achieving 100 per cent youth and adult literacy. IIULER will give a global stage for students of Goa and India to showcase their legal skills and talent. ” Said Sawant
“Such institutions like IIULER imparting law education at the international level is also a good thing for the state. The IIULER must expedite their works soon, and we have plans to declare Kala Bhavan in Sancoale as a theatre and this will happen once IIULER shifts from this location,” said Sawant.
