Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced that the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme of the Goa College of Agriculture has been accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.
Expressing pride in the achievement, Dr. Sawant said, “This accreditation is a proud recognition of the high standards of agricultural education in Goa and the dedication of our faculty, students, and administration. I congratulate the entire team of Goa College of Agriculture for this significant achievement.”
The Chief Minister further encouraged young Goans to consider careers in agriculture and allied sectors, emphasizing the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in the state’s agricultural development. “I urge the youth of Goa to explore opportunities in agriculture, agri-entrepreneurship, and allied fields, and actively contribute to our collective vision of a Swayampurna and Viksit Goa,” Dr. Sawant added.
The ICAR accreditation highlights Goa’s growing focus on promoting agricultural education and research, aimed at strengthening the state’s rural economy and sustainable farming practices.
