PANAJI: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday said that women empowerment and child development remain the State’s foremost priorities, as he attended a virtual conference chaired by Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi to review the progress of welfare schemes.
“We are committed to ensuring that Nari Shakti and child development are at the heart of our policies. The focus of our discussions was on how these initiatives are reaching the last mile and how they can be further strengthened so that every woman and child in Goa benefits from them,” Rane said after the meeting.
He added that the Union Minister had invited suggestions and reforms from all states to make implementation more inclusive and effective. “With the guidance and support of Hon’ble Union Minister Smt. Annapurna Devi, we remain steadfast in our resolve to deliver the benefits of every scheme to the grassroots, empowering women and nurturing children as the foundation of a stronger, more inclusive Goa,” the Health Minister said.
