PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) today has extended full support to Goa Bandh called by Goa Units of All India Kisan Sabha & CITU, on December 8 in support of the Farmers of India agitating against Modi Govts farm laws.
“We extend full support to Goa Bandh called by Goa Units of All India Kisan Sabha & CITU, on December 8 in support of the Farmers of India agitating against Modi Govts farm laws,” the GPCC said in a statement
The Bharat bandh or the nationwide strike called by the farmers against the farm laws will begin at 11am and continue till 3pm on Tuesday, a spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union said on Monday.
Thousands of farmers are protesting against the Centre’s new agricultural laws for the past 11 days. As the talks with the government have so far resulted futile, the protesting farmers have called for a nationwide strike on Tuesday.
