Porvorim: The Goa Cricket Association has announced an open talent hunt for Under 15 girls as part of its continued efforts to discover and develop promising young cricketers from across the state.
The selection trials will take place on April 4, 2026 at the GCA Ground, Porvorim, with participants required to report at 8:30 AM. The initiative is designed to provide aspiring players with an opportunity to showcase their skills and potentially progress to higher levels of competitive cricket.
Girls eligible to participate must be born between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2014. The programme seeks to identify talented youngsters and guide them through structured development pathways within the state’s cricket system.
Interested players must complete the registration process before the deadline of April 2, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Registration can be completed through an online form available on the official website of the Goa Cricket Association. Alternatively, participants can collect an offline registration form from the GCA office reception during working hours or download the form from the association’s website.
All participants are required to report for the trials dressed in proper cricket attire, specifically white clothing, and must bring their personal cricket kit. For verification purposes, players must also carry a digital birth certificate, Aadhaar card, and their latest bonafide certificate.
The talent hunt initiative is expected to encourage greater participation of girls in cricket while offering a structured platform for young players to demonstrate their abilities. Selected players may receive further opportunities to train and represent Goa in future age group competitions.
