DONAPAULA: Crime Branch officials today raided Chances Casino premises and have arrested 12 people in connection with illegal gambling racket.
As per information, 10 persons who were betting, one card shuffler and one Gaming Manager have been arrested for operating/playing illegal live playing cards game at Chances Casino, Vaiguinim Valley Resort, Donapaula Goa.
CB officials said this was done in violation of license conditions.
During House Search, 1 table of live card gambling, 06 Lenovo Tabs, 52 playing cards, 1 live Card Shuffler, 1 card scanner, 1 DELL Monitor, 1 dealer monitor, 1 cash chip float containing different amounts of chips w/rs 36,00,250/ has been seized.
Alsa cash of Rs. 33,000/- in different denominations have been seized. All the accused persons have been arrested.
Crime Branch has registered case under section 3 and 4 of Goa Public Gambling Act.
