The cut bits we’re recovered and seized by Air Intelligence unit of Goa Customs headed by Shri Y B Sahare Assistant commissioner of Customs from a Domestic passenger who had arrived at Dabolim International Airport from Hyderabad by Indigo flight no 6E -6913.
Investigation so far has revealed that smuggled Gold were brought by an international passenger from Dubai to kochhi Airport and was purposely left in the flight with knowledge that same flight will be carried from Kochi to Hyderabad to Goa on domestic run.
Domestic Passenger, a native of West Bengal picked the left Gold in Aircraft at Hyderabad when he alighted the flight for Goa. But he was apprehended by alert Goa Customs with assistance Goa DRI officer.
He has been found in possession of 4 Aadhaar cards with different names.
The accused has been arrested and further investigation is under process. Goa Customs have busted similar Modus operandi earlier in the month of January 2021.
