PONDA: Goa Dairy administrator who had claimed of bringing Dairy into profit yesterday was removed from his position today by replacing another person as an administrator of Goa Dairy.
In a surprising development that raised eyebrows of many, Goa Dairy Tri Members committee administrator Durgesh Shirodkar was removed by Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) Arvind Khutkar with immediate effect and appointed Animal Husbandary Director Dr Agostinho Misquita as an administrator of Goa Dairy.
On Thursday, Durgesh Shirodkar claimed that he had brought the loss-making Goa Dairy into a profit of Rs 3.75 crore for the year 2020-21.
Soon after he was appointed an administrator Dr Agostinho Misquita, along with signatures of two other members, Administrative Committee issued an order for removal of I/C MD Dr Anil Fadte with immediate effect on the disciplinary ground considering the various charges levelled against him and appointed senior Chemist of Cattle feed plant Kashi Naik as in charge of Goa Dairy MD.
The various charges mentioned against Anil Fadte include alleged insubordination, illegal payment in Bhakti, Extraction of the supply of cattle feed raw materials, inquiry on non-deposit of veterinary receipts of the Union, and harassment to one lady staff.
However, Dr Anil Fadte is required to hold the charge of the veterinary section. The New MD Kashi Naik shall also hold the charge of cattle feed plant lying with him.
Durgesh recently had said that he managed to earn profit by plugging leakages and stopping the corrupt practices prevailing in Goa Dairy. On this backdrop, his removal from the Administrator post raised eyebrows of many.
“When I tried to contact for his reaction, he was not reachable on his phone,” he said.
Former Administrator Durgesh Shirodkar had also filed a complaint against MD Anil Fadte for insubordination and lack of cooperation in Dairy affairs.
He had even blamed MD Anil Fadte for not holding AGM on time by not submitting essential statements and documents.
