Panaji: Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that Goa’s cleanliness and waste management efforts are being continuously reviewed and strengthened in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Garbage-Free India under the Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban 2.0 (SBM-U 2.0).
Rane stated that regular review meetings are being held to monitor ongoing initiatives, identify gaps, and take immediate corrective measures to ensure effective implementation of waste management projects across the state.
“We are integrating technology-driven systems such as QR-code tracking, GPS-enabled monitoring, and four-way segregation to enhance efficiency, accountability, and transparency in waste management,” the minister said.
He added that the government’s ultimate goal is to make Goa a model state for sustainable urban management and cleanliness through innovation and consistent action.
“Our vision is clear — to make Goa a benchmark in smart and sustainable waste management, setting new standards for clean and healthy urban living,” Rane affirmed.
