MARGAO: Green Club, Goa, organised a kitchen gardening and composting workshop. The workshop was inaugurated at the hand of Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai
Dr Eleuterio and Juliet Vaz e Carneiro were the resource persons who presented various kitchen gardening and homegrown crops, vegetable, as well as BSF fly larvae breeding techniques in Goa.
The workshop covered upcoming winter crops, controlling plant disease, backyard composting and waste management techniques and other vital aspects which can be managed in home backyards.
For city dwellers with space constraints, potting techniques and growing plants and vegetables in pots were also taught during the workshop.
Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai, while speaking on occasion said that “ He commits to working to take Green Club’s organic farming and kitchen gardening campaign to the whole state.”
