PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) today has slammed the Pramod Sawant-led BJP government for harassing Goans in obtaining sound permissions.
GFP Gen Sec Mohandas Lolienkar said that it is a matter of shame that in order to apply and pay fees for sound permission, Goans have to go all the way to Saligao at the GSPCB office.
“It is shocking to see that people have to go all the way to Saligao GSPCB to pay fees to get sound permissions. Why is this so? It appears that the BJP government led by Pramod Sawant likes to harass the people of Goa,” said GFP Gen Sec Mohandas Lolienkar
He further said that It appears that BJP Govt, led by Dr.Pramod Sawant, likes to harass Goemkars.
“We demand that payment of fees may be either online or else fees should be collected at SDM offices itself,” he added.
He also demanded that traditional festivals be exempted from sound restrictions.
“Sawant government “must stop equating Goan social and cultural events with rave parties and exempt them from the sound ban forthwith,” he added.
The GFP leader said that Goa has already lost its original identity and that the Government must wake up to protect our traditions, culture and heritage.
Speaking on Alemao, Loliemkar said that he is the beneficiary of Govt funds, So naturally, he has to defend and support BJP.
“Once upon a time, Churchill was a door keeper of Former Minister Monte Cruz. Churchill will be replied Tit for Tat if he tries to speak nonsense against our President Vijai Sardesai to please his BJP bosses,” he added.
