VERNA: The Goa government has announced plans to auction the remaining plots at the Verna Industrial Estate to attract technology and research & development firms under its new initiative, the ‘Hello World Innovation & Research Park’.
Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho stated that the move is part of the state’s effort to bolster innovation, technology development, and research activities in Goa. “This initiative will provide world-class infrastructure and facilities for R&D firms and tech companies, making Goa a preferred destination for innovation-led industries,” he said.
The minister added that several major industries have already expressed keen interest in investing in the park, signaling strong confidence in the state’s industrial growth strategy.
The auction process is expected to be conducted soon, with the government inviting bids from companies looking to establish their research and innovation facilities in the estate. The initiative is aimed at creating employment opportunities, promoting high-tech industries, and positioning Goa as a hub for innovation and technological advancement.
The Hello World Innovation & Research Park is part of the state’s broader vision to attract investment in knowledge-based sectors while leveraging Goa’s strategic location and infrastructure.
