PANAJI: Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant and Goa Governor Shreedharan Pillai today have extended their heartiest greetings to the people of Goa, especially to the Christian brethren on the heavenly occasion of Easter.
Dr. Sawant in his message to the people said, “Easter commemorates the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, three days after his death. Jesus Christ, the Apostle of Peace rose on the third day after his crucifixion. Easter is the crucial sign and divine symbol of victory over forces of death, darkness and evil. Easter is a time to share happiness.”
“The noble values of Jesus Christ give strength to lead a more meaningful life. Jesus Christ preached the eternal values of love, compassion, hope, faith, responsibility and forgiveness. His teachings help everyone to transform and to lead a peaceful and happy life,” CM added.
Chief Minister further in his greetings said, “Easter is an occasion to cherish Brotherhood and Humanity all over the world. Easter reminds us to follow our conscience and practice what we can do for others. On this day, let us pledge to strive for the welfare of others and inspire people to empower people. May all of us, living in this beautiful State of Goa, join together in building a society, wherein the interests of people will reign above all”.
“May the Easter celebration inspire everyone to win over sin. Let us celebrate it in such a way that it will bring greater peace, prosperity, happiness and unity among all. May the celebration of Easter brighten our mind with hope and empathy and motivate us to seek happiness in every step of life,” CM concluded.
The Governor, P. S. Sreedharan Pillai on the joyous occasion of Easter has extended his heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the people of Goa, particularly the Christian brethren.
In his message, the Governor said “Easter commemorates the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. In fact, the resurrection of Christ is the eternal hope and foundation of Christian life and faith. Easter is the symbol of victory over all the evil forces”.
The Governor added, “Jesus Christ taught us to love God and love our fellow human beings. This festival gives us the valuable message of brotherhook, love, compassion and forgiveness. Let us practice the ideals of Lord Jesus Christ so as to make the world a better place to live in’.
