SANKHALI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that private job experience is now mandatory for those applying for government jobs.
“Now onwards, private job experience is now mandatory for those applying for government jobs,” said Sawant
He further said that companies are offering salaries ranging from ₹15k to ₹20k for jobs under the PM Internship Scheme, along with monthly assistance from the scheme.
“Youths need to take up private jobs; there is poor response from locals to vacancies in the private sector,” he added
Sawant also appealed youths to enroll in PM Internship Program & gain experience.
“Government aims for zero unemployment in Goa,” said Sawant
Sawant had earlier said one-year work experience would be made “compulsory” for recruitment in state government departments.
He said fresh candidates would not be taken directly into government service. Aspirants would have to get experience by working in the private sector before applying for government jobs.
Sawant said one-year work experience would be made mandatory for those looking for government jobs in the future.
Such a practice would help the government get skilled manpower, said the chief minister.
The CM said necessary amendments would be made in Recruitment Rules (RRs) to ensure only suitable candidates are selected for vacant posts.
