Panaji: The Government of Goa has approved a series of key appointments to various boards, corporations, and statutory bodies across the state. Official orders for these appointments are expected to be issued shortly.
As per the approved list, Antonio Vas, MLA Cortalim, has been appointed Chairman of the Goa Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), with Sarvanand Bhagat named as Vice Chairman.
Chandrakant Kavlekar will serve as Chairman of Kala Academy, while Govind Parvatkar takes charge as Chairman of the Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC).
At the Sewage and Infrastructural Development Corporation (SIDCL), Sankalp Amonkar, MLA Mormugao, has been appointed Chairman, and Dayanand Sopte will lead Bal Bhavan as its Chairman.
The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) will now be chaired by Kedar Naik, MLA Saligao, and Michael Lobo, MLA Calangute, has been appointed Chairman of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC).
Former Minister Dayanand Mandrekar has been named Chairperson of the Goa State Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation Ltd (GSSCOBCFDC).
Additionally, Aleixo Sequeira, MLA Nuvem, has been appointed Chairman of the Goa Law Commission.
These appointments mark a significant reshuffle in the leadership of key state institutions, aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and accelerating development initiatives across Goa.
