The Government has constituted a Committee named as the “Exposition Secretariat” to monitor the day-to-day functioning and to oversee all activities related to the forth coming Exposition of sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier Old Goa to be held from November 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
Exposition Secretariat headed by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant comprises of Minister for Panchayats Shri. Mauvin Godinho as Dy. Chairman, Minister of Environment Shri. Aleixo Sequeira as Dy. Chairman, Secretary (Revenue) Shri. Sandeep Jacques as Commissioner-I (Infrastructure, Services & Coordination) Exposition, Principal Chief Engineer, Public Works Department Shri. Uttam P. Parsekar as Commissioner-II (Infrastructure & Services) Exposition, Chief Electrical Engineer, Electricity Department Shri. Stephen Fernandes as Addl. Commissioner-I (Services) Exposition, Superintendent of Police (Anti Terrorist Squad) Shri. Edwin Colaco as Addl. Commissioner-II (Security) Exposition, SP (Security) Shri. Kiran Poduval as Addl. Commissioner-III (Security) Exposition, Chief Architect Public Works Department, Panaji Shri. Marvin Gomes as Addl. Commissioner-IV (Services) Exposition, GSIDC, Panaji Shri. Sandip K. Prabhu Chodnekar as Addl. Commissioner-V (Infrastructure) Exposition, Dy. SP, GRP, Altinho, Panaji Shri. Roy Pereira as Deputy Commissioner Exposition-I (Security), Dy. SP (Traffic-North) Shri. Siddhant Shirodkar as Deputy Commissioner Exposition-II (Security).
The Exposition Secretariat will liaise with all the Government Departments, namely Police, Transport, Panchayats, Tourism, PWD, etc. and ensure control and smooth conduct, co-ordination and supervision of all the requirement and arrangements for the Exposition, 2024. The Exposition Secretariat may requisitioned and avail the services of any authority/ agency/ Government Department and their Officials, for the purpose.
Similarly, the State Government has constituted a High Powered Co-ordination Committee for Exposition, 2024 under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. The High Powered Co-ordination Committee has 40 members comprising of Minister of State for Tourism Shri. Shripad Naik as Co-Chairman-(1), Minister for Panchayats Shri. Mauvin Godhino as Co-Chairman-(2), Minister for Health Shri. Vishwajit Rane, Minister for Environment Shri. Aleixo Sequeira, Minister for Power Shri. Ramkrishna alias Sudin Dhavalikar, Minister for Revenue Shri. Atanasio Monserrate, Minister for Tourism Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Art and Culture Shri Govind Gaude, Leader of Opposition Shri Yuri Alemao, Dy. Speaker-Goa Legislative Assembly Shri. Joshua D’Souza and other Members of Legislative Assembly and Senior Government Officers as Member of the Committee.
The High Powered Co-ordination Committee will have full powers to decide in the matter and execute any kind of work related to the exposition so as to enable the smooth conduct of Exposition 2024, subject to the approval of the Cabinet, all financial and administrative powers relating to execute of any kind of work/ infrastructure facilities and to provide any other facilities as required for the Exposition-2024, will be vested with the Chairman of the Exposition Secretariat and any decision in this respect will be final.
