PONDA: Government intends to provide uninterrupted power supply in the State by upgrading and completing all related works before monsoon stated Minister for Power Ramkrishna alias Sudin Dhavalikar who was briefing the press after laying foundation stone for the shifting of 33KV Verna I & II power line near Bhausaheb Bandodkar ground at Bandora today.
Dhavalikar further said that the 40 year old 33 KV high tension power line which is passing over the ground has created fear among the people in the surrounding area. The people in this area have also raised their concern at the Gram Sabha and passed resolution.
“The Government taking cognisance of the issue and safety of the people decided to shift the said power line,” the Minister added.
The Assistant Engineer Electricity Smt. Shilpa Bakhle while speaking informed that the estimated cost of the work is Rs. 3 crores. The work of shifting of power lines would be completed before monsoon. The equipment like mono poles would be erected to carry power line to ensure safety of the people.
