PANAJI: In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the Goa government has launched the Viksit Goa @2047 initiative, aimed at making Goa a fully developed state. The Vision Document, being prepared in three phases—2030, 2037, and 2047—will serve as a roadmap for the state’s long-term growth.
The document is being developed around five core pillars: physical infrastructure, economic and social infrastructure, institutional infrastructure, and environmental infrastructure. Key sectors identified for focused development include the economy, agriculture, fisheries, livestock, health, education, skilling, employment, mining, industry, sports, youth development, environment and climate change, tourism, culture, energy, forestry, marine economy, and transport and logistics.
Special emphasis is being placed on youth, women, the poor, and farmers as the government prepares the blueprint for Viksit Goa @2037. Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has called for inclusive participation from all Goans to contribute views, suggestions, and ideas that will help shape the state’s future.
On April 9, 2025, a QR code was launched to facilitate public feedback. Now, to further widen access, the government has introduced a missed call service. Citizens can give a missed call to 9953953333, following which a telecaller will get in touch to record their suggestions over the phone. The deadline for submitting inputs is June 30, 2025.
The Chief Minister has appealed to all citizens, public institutions, and stakeholders to actively participate in this initiative, assuring that all feedback will be studied and considered in shaping the final document.
