The Special Land Acquisition Officer, Mopa Airport Cell will issue a Land Looser Certificate to the persons whose claims to the land acquired have been settled as per Land Acquisition Award and in respect of which no dispute is pending before any Courts.
The interested persons whose land has been acquired for the construction of the Manohar International Airport at Mopa, acquired and in respect of which no dispute is pending and has obtained three times compensation from the Directorate of Civil Aviation, Government of Goa and no dispute is pending in any courts may make an application to the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Mopa Airport Cell, 2nd Lift, 4th Floor, Junta House, Panaji-Goa duly supported by the extract of the Land Acquisition Award along with the receipt of the compensation received. In the event, that the original owner/ occupant of the land in whose name the compensation has been awarded as per the Land acquisition award has since deceased, his legal heirs can make an application for the issue of a Land Looser Certificate on production of the legally valid documents establishing his heirship.
It may be informed that the Government of Goa has acquired the land comprising parts from five (5) revenue villages namely Mopa, Uguem, Casarvorem, Chandel and Varconda from the Pernem Taluka, North Goa for the construction and development of the Manohar International Airport at Mopa after following the due process under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The Compensation in respect of the land acquisition has been determined by the Special Land Acquisition Officer and the Land acquisition awards in these regards have been passed by the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Mopa Airport Cell, 2nd Lift, 4th Floor, Junta House, Panaji-Goa.
