PANAJI: The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Goa, has appealed to citizens to report incidents of black marketing, hoarding, and unfair trade practices related to LPG cylinders.
In a press release, the department urged consumers to lodge complaints with the respective taluka offices so that prompt action can be taken against violators. Officials said such practices affect the availability of LPG cylinders for genuine consumers and strict enforcement measures are being undertaken to curb irregularities.
The department has provided contact details of taluka-level officers across the state to facilitate complaints from the public. Citizens can reach out to their local Civil Supplies officers in talukas including Pernem, Bardez, Tiswadi, Bicholim, Sattari, Ponda, Dharbandora, Salcete, Mormugao, Sanguem, Quepem and Canacona.
Director of the department, Jayant G. Tari, urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspected malpractice in LPG distribution.
Authorities have assured that complaints received from citizens will be verified and necessary action will be taken against those involved in illegal activities.
