PANAJI: Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai today distributed financial assistance worth Rs 68 lakh to 272 cancer and dialysis patients from the Governor’s Discretionary funds.
“As of now we have distributed financial assistance to over 3000 patients. Today financial assistance worth Rs 68 cr to 272 cancer and dialysis patients,” said Pillai.
Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pilai took over as Governor of Goa and decided to reach out to the underprivileged people of Goa and extend financial assistance to needy people.
On various occasions, the Governor announced various financial assistance schemes such as financial assistance to dialysis, cancer and other patients.
During the Goa Gram Sampurna Yatra, the Governor has traversed thousands of kilometres and travelled to nook and corner of the state and distributed financial assistance at the doorsteps of the people apart from NGOs, Institutions, Old-Age Homes, Orphanages, etc.
The distribution of such financial assistance to needy cancer/dialysis/other patients is a historical and epoch-making achievement in the history of Raj Bhavan, Goa.
