PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goa has always been a trailblazer among states, being the first to adopt and implement the Uniform Civil Code.
CM Sawant was addressing the gathering during the World Hindu Economic Forum Annual Conference in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
“Goa has always been a trailblazer among states, being the first to adopt and implement the Uniform Civil Code, one of the first to enact the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and a pioneer in implementing Direct Benefit Transfers directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts,” said Sawant
He further said that Goa’s identity extends beyond its Sun, Sand, and Sea, offering immense potential in tourism, business, and development.
“Under the visionary leadership of our government, we have embraced the ethos of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat through the implementation of Swayampurna Goa,” he added
Sawant said that this initiative is being executed with a 100% saturation approach in social sector schemes, long-term strategies such as the Startup Policy, Industrial Policy, Ease of Doing Business, infrastructure development, and the National Education Policy, among others.
“Our mission remains steadfast—achieving Swayampurna Goa as a key step toward a self-reliant and developed India,” CM said
CM also extended my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the World Hindu Economic Forum for their commendable efforts in uniting Hindu businesses, entrepreneurs, and ventures to grow collectively and foster global economic prosperity.
