PANAJI: Goa has earned national recognition as a Top Achiever in the Services Sector under the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2024, an initiative spearheaded by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India.
The award was received by Mauvin Godinho, Minister for Transport, Industries, Trade & Commerce, Panchayati Raj, Protocol & Hospitality, and Legislative Affairs, during the Udyog Samagam 2025 – Conference of Industries and Commerce Ministers held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi.
This recognition highlights Goa’s commitment to advancing the ease of doing business through efficient governance, simplified regulatory systems, and investor-friendly service delivery. The state has been actively working to streamline industrial procedures and promote transparency to attract new enterprises and investments.
Expressing his gratitude, Mauvin Godinho said that the honour validates Goa’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its business ecosystem and ensure inclusive, sustainable growth. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is experiencing an era of reform-driven transformation that is empowering industries and fostering economic confidence nationwide.
The Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) serves as a benchmark for evaluating and encouraging states and union territories to implement effective reforms that make it easier to start and operate businesses. The initiative is central to India’s vision of improving its global competitiveness and investment climate.
With this achievement, Goa reaffirms its reputation as a progressive and investment-ready state, offering a conducive environment for entrepreneurship. The state continues to strengthen its presence in key sectors including tourism, services, and manufacturing, positioning itself as a hub for innovation and sustainable development.
