PANAJI: Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC) successfully concluded its IDC Connect 2024 held at Verna Industrial Estate which was highlighted by a workshop focussed on Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The workshop was graced by the presence of Swetika Sachan, IAS, Secretary (Industries), Pravimal Abhishek, Managing Director- Goa-IDC; Yatin Kakodkar, Hon-Secretary-GCCI, Pradip Da Costa, President – Verna Industrial Estate Industries Association, Stephen Fernandes, Chief Electrical Engineer, Electricity Department along with an enthusiastic participation from various industry representatives across Goa.
Led by Aditi Singha, Vice President – Government of India Expansion Projects, ONDC, the workshop emphasized the transformative power of ONDC in democratizing e-commerce. Attendees learned how ONDC enables seamless connections between shoppers, technology platforms, and retailers, thereby revolutionizing the e-commerce ecosystem.
Swetika Sachan, IAS, Secretary (Industries), highlighted the significance of such initiatives in driving the industrial growth of Goa stating that “IDC Connect 2024 and the ONDC workshop represent our commitment to supporting the industrial community in Goa. By embracing innovative platforms like ONDC, we are empowering our industries, especially MSMEs to compete on a larger scale and achieve sustainable growth,” she remarked.
Pravimal Abhishek, MD, Goa-IDC, expressed optimism for the future of digital commerce in Goa. “Events like IDC Connect 2024, with a special focus on workshop initiatives like ONDC, serve as catalysts for the growth and prosperity of our industries. They provide invaluable exposure, fostering an environment where businesses can flourish and reach new heights.
