Panaji: In a major step toward ensuring transparency in government hiring, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant announced the implementation of computer-based examinations with instant results for all future government recruitments in Goa. The new system aims to eliminate delays and improve fairness in the selection process.
Dr. Sawant was speaking at the inauguration of the refurbished Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC) office at the Spaces Building in Patto, Panaji, on Wednesday. The event was also attended by Dr. V. Candavelou (IAS) and Narayan Sawant (IAS Retd.).
The Chief Minister said that the GSSC has already issued advertisements to fill 752 posts across various departments. Of these, 50 vacancies have been filled, while exams are ongoing to recruit candidates for the remaining positions.
“All government recruitment will now be conducted through the GSSC, using computer-based exams with immediate result processing. This move reinforces our commitment to a transparent and efficient recruitment process,” Dr. Sawant stated.
He added that the newly revamped GSSC office and the digital shift in testing reflect the government’s broader focus on good governance and merit-based appointments.
