“Prima facie police have zeroed on two government employees, who were co-associate of one of the prime accused, in ensuring government jobs. Notices will be issued to them.
Sawant also urged people not to fall prey to such fraudulent schemes, adding that Naik’s arrest was initiated on his directive.
“Fraudsters are misleading job aspirants by claiming they can secure government jobs in exchange for money. When I learnt about her activities, I alerted the police. She has already been arrested four times before… No government job is obtained by paying a bribe,” he said.
“I don’t understand why people pay bribes to get jobs. Don’t let these cheats deceive you,” he advised job aspirants.
Strict action will be taken against her and all those associated with her in this scam, he added. Sawant revealed that Naik has been arrested four times previously for similar frauds, stating, “I was the one who got her arrested the first time.”
He emphasized that government job recruitment is conducted transparently and money cannot buy jobs.
With the shift towards digital services, Sawant said that the potential for fraud increases.
“It is imperative for government administration staff to scrutinize caller’s identities, ensuring legitimacy and preventing misuse,” he added
The Chief Minister also said that whoever is involved in corruption will not be spared, no matter who they are.
“Everyone should eliminate corruption along with ‘Narkasur Dahan’ this Diwali,” said Sawant
