BAMBOLIM: On the occasion of Goa Liberation Day, the Harley Owners Group, Goa Chapter, and Grand Hyatt Goa hosted the Harley Santa Run & Kids Christmas Party, in collaboration with the Social Work Programme of D.D. Kosambi School of Social Sciences and Behavioural Studies, Goa University, Human Touch Foundation, and Samvendra Kendra.
This heartfelt event brought joy and festive cheer to 51 children from the Kathakari Community of Virnoda and Nirankhal, making the day truly magical.
The celebrations began with the thrilling Harley Santa Ride, where children rode alongside Harley Owners Group riders dressed as Santa Claus through the streets of Panaji and Dona Paula.
The energy and excitement of the ride filled the air with Christmas cheer and a sense of freedom, creating lasting memories for the children.
Following the ride, the children were treated to a grand Christmas buffet hosted by Grand Hyatt Goa. The beautifully curated meal brought smiles to their faces as they enjoyed the festive delicacies in a warm and welcoming environment.
The adventure continued with a unique sailing experience by Aquasail 360° Sailing, where the children experienced the thrill of being on the water. For many, it was a first-time adventure that offered a sense of joy, exploration, and freedom.
The event concluded with a gift-giving ceremony, where each child received a thoughtful token of love and care, reinforcing the community’s commitment to their happiness and well-being.
Prof. Ganesha Somayaji, Dean, D.D. Kosambi School of Social Sciences and Behavioural Studies, said, “This initiative exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and community care. It’s inspiring to see such impactful events, especially on Goa Liberation Day, bringing hope and joy to marginalized children.”
Jaco Le Roux, Area Vice President, Leisure Hotels India, and General Manager, Grand Hyatt Goa, remarked, “At Grand Hyatt Goa, we are proud to create meaningful experiences that brighten lives. Seeing the joy on the children’s faces today reinforces the importance of giving back to the community.”
