Panaji: Goa suffered a heavy defeat by an innings and 322 runs against Madhya Pradesh in their Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite Under-16 cricket match at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
Resuming on Thursday at 48 for 6 in their second innings, Goa were bundled out for 53 runs, offering little resistance to the Madhya Pradesh bowlers. Earlier, Goa had been dismissed for 77 in their first innings.
In reply, Madhya Pradesh piled up a massive 452 for 6 before declaring, gaining an unassailable lead and forcing an innings defeat.
Goa will look to regroup when they face Karnataka in their next match, scheduled from December 29.
