OLD GOA: The Old Goa Police Station registered an offense on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, against a St. Cruz resident following a complaint of alleged sexual abuse of a minor.
The complaint was filed at 02:10 hrs by a woman residing in Tiswadi, who is a native of Kolhapur. The accused has been allegedly identified as Hanif Shah Mujazawar, aged 56, residing at H. No. 744, Tahira Manjil, Saint Augustine Wado, St. Cruz, Tiswadi, Goa.
According to the police report, the alleged incidents took place repeatedly between April 1, 2024, and May 2025 at St. Cruz, Tiswadi, Goa. The accused is alleged to have sexually abused the complainant’s minor daughter, aged nine years. Furthermore, the accused reportedly threatened the minor victim, instructing her not to disclose the facts to anyone.
The case has been registered under relevant sections of the law. LPSI Jasvita Naik of the Old Goa Police Station has been assigned as the Investigating Officer (IO) for the case.
Further investigation into the matter is underway. Police have not yet disclosed whether an arrest has been made.
