PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that since the inception of cardiac cath lab facilities in 2014, Goa Medical College (GMC) has successfully conducted 35,000 cardiac surgeries till date.
“Since the inception of cardiac cath lab facilities in 2014, Goa Medical College (GMC) has successfully conducted 35,000 cardiac surgeries till date, instilling hope in patients for survival and a fresh lease on life,” said Rane.
He further said that with the addition of these new advanced Cath Labs the waiting times for patients will reduce providing them with comprehensive medical care in one place.
“I am delighted to announce the introduction of an advanced cardiac cath lab at GMC, aligning with the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added.
Rane said that his aim is to make him feel proud about the Goa model and to elevate Goa to a prominent position in the field of healthcare.
“With the new facilities, even the most complex cardiac surgeries can be performed with ease and at a low cost in GMC, ensuring that all sections of the society can avail maximum benefits,” the minister said.
The minister said that the top-notch transplantation facility offered by government medical colleges like GMC has not only transformed the way people perceive healthcare services but has also braced their trust in government healthcare facilities.
