PANAJI: The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Goa Police over the weekend arrested three persons, including a suspected supplier, and seized 7.9 grams of cocaine in two separate operations at Panaji and Caranzalem.
Police said the first operation was carried out at Campal, Panaji, in the early hours of Saturday, where two residents of St Cruz were caught with 7.9 grams of cocaine. Their interrogation led investigators to the main supplier.
Later the same night, ANC personnel intercepted the alleged supplier at Caranzalem while he was travelling in his car.
The raids were conducted under the supervision of SP Sunita Sawant and DySP Nerlon Albuquerque. Officials said the probe is being pursued through a “bottom-to-top” strategy aimed at tracking the entire chain of the drug network, including peddlers and consumers.
