MAINA-CURTORIM: The three minor girls who had gone missing since Wednesday have been traced by the Maina- Curtorim police.
Four of the accused guys, who are between the ages of 18 and 19, have been taken into custody by the Maina-Curtorim police in relation to the crime.
The three rescued females have reportedly been transported for medical examinations, according to the authorities.
Pl Arun Desai, the in-charge of the Maina-Curtorim police station, notified authorities that the girls had vanished from their separate homes on Wednesday.
In this regard, he added that a group of about fifty Nuvem residents had arrived at the police station and demanded that the authorities find the two young girls who went missing.
PI Arun reported that one of the boys was apprehended by the police using the CCTV footage, and the other three were subsequently taken into custody in relation to the same case.
He stated that the four accused youths are the subject of a case that the police have filed under the Goa Children’s Act for kidnapping.
