MAPUSA: Anjuna police have arrested a house theft accused Parshuram Odegi of Karnataka and recovered part of the stolen ornaments.
Police said that on January 31, Umesh s/o Shamba Naik, age 59 yrs, Occ- Service r/o H. No. 430/4C, Tarchibhat, Siolim, Bardez Goa lodged his complaint to the effect that on January 8, at 12.52 hrs at H.No. 430/4C, Tarchibhat, Siolim, Bardez Goa accused effected entry into his house by break opening the latch of the main door and committed theft of Gold ornaments, silver ornaments and cash.
In this connection an offence vide Anjuna P.S. Cr. No. 16/2024 u/s 454, 380 IPC was registered.
The accused was captured in the CCTV footage. Based on the CCTV footage accused Parshuram S/o Buddappa Olekar, age 27 yrs r/o Chikka Sindagi, Vijayapura, Karnataka was identified and placed under arrest on January 31, and part of stolen ornaments are recovered from the instance of the accused.
Accused person is granted Police Custody.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI, Ashish B. Parab under the supervision of PI Prashal Dessai, SDPO Mapusa Shri Sandesh Chodankar and overall supervision of SP North Nidhin Valson, IPS.
