PANAJI: Mapusa police have arrested three individuals in connection with a kidnapping case.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi Thursday evening a complainant approached Mapusa Police Station and informed that his minor daughter, age 16 years was missing from his residence. Mapusa Police Station immediately registered offence u/s 363 IPC and sec 8 of the Goa Children Act.
Further, two teams were formed under the supervision of SDPO Shri Jivba Dalvi and PI Sitakant Nayak, headed by PSI Gaurav Naik, PSI Dinesh Kumar Mukhia, PSI Viraj Koragonkar, LPSI Reecha Bhosle, HC Sushant Chopdekar, PC Prakash Polekar, Rajesh Kandolkar, Akshay Patil, LPC Ranjana Parab with instructions to collect intelligence in respect of accused involved and to collect the CCTV footage right from the house of the complainant towards the nearby junctions.
Further, through Human and Technical surveillance, the team got information that the victim girl is in the house at Assonora. Accordingly, the team raided the house and rescued the victim girl and arrested three accused persons namely 1) Aaron Percy Moniz s/o Alex Moniz, age 24 yrs r/o Molewada Assonora, 2) Ayush Arun Mandrekar, r/o Belavista Vaddo Sirsaim, and 3) Narendra @ Badal Singh s/o Beldev Singh r/o Chaicalim Covlale Bardez.
The victim was rescued within 6 hours of registration of FIR.
Investigation revealed that the victim girl through Instagram came in contact with the accused no. 03 Narendra @ Badal Singh who visited the house of the complainant and by luring took the victim with him and made to stay with him. The accused further contacted his friends Ayush Mandrekar and Aaron Moniz and took the victim girl at Assonora at the residence of Mr Aaron.
A police team raided the said house at Asonora during the night time and a girl was rescued and the accused persons were arrested.
Accused persons confessed their involvement in the said crime.
Further accused persons were produced before JMFC Mapusa and granted three days of Police Custody.
The victim girl is presently admitted in Apna Ghar, Merces – Goa.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Sitakant Nayak, SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
